World order hits home in Basalt
Regarding Patrice Becker’s letter to the editor (Jan. 25, Aspen Daily News) asking why Basalt is not following the citizens’ choices with respect to the River Park, here are my beliefs:
1. Aspen Skiing Co. has been and is behind all of this by providing advice on consultants and the use of propaganda and “expert” personnel to help manipulate government officials and citizens and use the press. The “Our Town” process that wasted all our time was designed to hopefully convince us what they wanted was what we wanted and if that did not work, to make the citizens think they had a voice in this. A former Skico director, Bill Kane, became and was town manager when this cockeyed deal was setup in 2012 that subsequently had about $8 million in taxpayer funds invested in and around the Roaring Fork Development Corp. parcel.
2. They and a few members of the biggest architectural firm in Basalt, along with some from the biggest real estate firm in Basalt support the citizens funding their plan — profits for condos for some of them, an integral easement could affect the value and use of Lions Park retained by developers, and the vision that they have decided for Basalt, which part of is to subsidize Rocky Mountain Institute to combat the fictitious global warming scare to advance the one-world government plan, which from all I see and believe, that the owners of Skico are pushing for the rest of us.
They seem to manage everything is a feudal style so it fits. The town of Basalt bought five employee-housing units 5 miles outside of Basalt directly next door to Amory Lovins’ home a few years ago, which I believe is another direct taxpayer-funded subsidy to RMI. Geographically the development parcel lies between Skico offices and RMI, which supports my theory of what is driving this.
