Please keep a safe distance on 82

Tailgating on Highway 82 has become an epidemic. The Colorado Driver’s Handbook says “use the three second rule. Watch the car ahead of you; when it passes

a reference point then count ‘1,001, 1,002, 1,003.’ If you pass the reference point before you finish counting, you are following too closely. If the road is slick,

the stopping distance required is greatly increased.” I am leaving that three-second crash zone on purpose. We all need more personal space.
