Steadman costs take advantage of locals

I’ve lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for almost 12 years. One perk is that Aspen Valley Hospital gives 20% off for paying your bill in full. I just learned that The Steadman Clinic made a conscious decision NOT to honor the 20% off!

I knew things would change when they purchased Ortho Aspen, but didn’t think they were so money grabbing as to harm the locals. They also run their practice more to maximize dollars, in my opinion, than for patient care. Maybe they should have spent less money on the new waiting room and not taken it out of the locals.

This policy harms the locals and lower income segments of our Valley the most. The doctors decided to eliminate the discount. Please contact your doctor and tell him you want it back.
