Letter: Xpressing thanks

Xpressing thanks

My original intention was to write a short, sincere and inclusive thank-you to every organization, business entity, governmental authority, civic organization and the great people of Aspen and Snowmass, Pitkin County.

After multiple drafts I found that writing a “short” inclusive note is impossible to cover all it would be intended.

So, with the approaching 2014 ESPN Winter X Games underway this week, I sincerely say “thank you.” I am retired now so I cannot speak for ESPN, but I know that all those mentioned above have been good for the ESPN X Games. I also believe that the ESPN X Games have been equally good in return. Special recognition should go to those who initially in 2002 embraced the Games. The Aspen Skiing Co., the late and very dear Mayor Helen Klanderud, and Sheriff Bob Braudis.

A special thanks to your two newspapers for my being able to send this message.
