Letter: Would you trust this salesman?

On the prospect that there a few local naive individuals out there supporting Donald Trump, consider the following:

Suppose you are buying a car. You ask the salesman, “What mileage does it get?”

Answer: “Terrific, the best!”

Next question: How many passengers does it seat?

Answer: “It’s huge — huge!”

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Next question: “What is the interior finish — leather, plastic?”

Answer: “It’s beautiful — you’ll love it!”

Note that not one of the questions was actually answered!

So, if you’ll buy a car on that basis then I guess you’re satisfied with Trump’s comparable replies on issues of national import.

And if that’s how you judge car buying, then call me, as I have a bridge to sell.
