Letter: Wonderful writers

I wanted to thank both The Aspen Times as well as KSPN radio for being such great supporters over the years of my annual Fraser Creative Writing Contest. This writing contest is held at Aspen Elementary School and is open to third- and fourth-graders. A big thank-you to Julie Wille, who organizes the contest through the school.

After the students receive their awards at an assembly at school, the first-place winners in third and fourth grade get the added bonus and honor of having The Aspen Times publish their stories. Then, in the spring, David Bach of KSPN radio interviews the winners and gives them the opportunity to read their wonderful stories live on the air. Not only are the winners published authors — they are radio stars!
