Why not Israel?

Here is one for you and your readers. Steinitz, Israel’s intelligence minister, recently said “you can’t expect Israel to negotiate with a gun at its head.” He was referring to Sec. Kerry’s statement that Israel could face sanctions if peace talks fell through.

Really, Mr. Steinitz, the Palestinians have had thousands of guns at their heads for 40 years. Peace is best for Israel. Don’t you understand that?

Sanctions worked in South Africa. Why not Israel?
