Letter: Where’s the community benefit?

I am somewhat confused as to how the Gorsuch Haus can be considered a benefit to the community. The project will put more cars driven by both customers and employees on Aspen’s already overcrowded streets. It will severely constrict skiing at the base of that side of the mountain. It will cause the new Lift 1A to move higher up the mountain. It will create a visual berm that further isolates the town from the mountain. And whether it’s built won’t affect the International Ski Federation’s decisions regarding awarding Aspen future World Cup races one bit.

I am less confused about one thing: the Norway trail won’t be worth skiing if the Gorsuch Haus is built.
