Walk in our shoes

On Veterans Day, I wonder how many civilians realize that in war/combat you spend the entire time knowing that every second of every minute of every hour of every day could be the last second of your life.

I suspect some of them think that our service in the military was no different from their service at McDonald’s. Semper Fi.
