Letter: Vote for innovation

Having served on the Basalt Town Council in the ’90s and being a 20-plus-year Basalt resident, I am familiar with all of the candidates. I can attest that we are fortunate to have such outstanding people who truly care about our town and are willing to give their time and energy for its betterment.

But if your vision for Basalt is to retain its small-town character while also revitalizing its economy through careful, thoughtful, creative development that prevents sprawl, traffic and pollution, then Jacque Whitsitt, Auden Schendler, Katie Schwoerer, Rob Leavitt and Jennifer Riffle will best represent and protect that vision.

Vote on April 5 (or mail-in ballot).
