Vets welcome at Fourth parade

Dear Editor:

As our country gathers on the Fourth of July to celebrate our independence and freedom, we want to recognize the efforts of generations of men and women who have served our country in war and peace. The Aspen parade entry “Thanks to Our Veterans” welcomes all local and visiting U.S. military veterans, active duty, reservists and guardsmen from every conflict and peacetime to come walk together in the parade.

Meet us on Main Street by Paepcke Park at 11 a.m. on Thursday. For more information, call Hugh Roberts at 970-927-4194 or Sally Glenn at 970-948-8278. If you need a ride or want to bring a vehicle, please call Peter Hoffmann in advance at 970-379-1371.

Please come join the other vets in this fun event or give the veterans a big cheer as they walk by.

Poschman can’t muzzle the public

I express my concern about Pitkin County commissioner and chair of Pitkin’s Board of Health Greg Poschman’s statement at the Jan.13, 2022, Board of Health meeting.
