Letter: Thrashing thistles
As a helpful reminder in dealing with those little rascals, last year my wife and I pulled thistles after rain showers, and the shallow roots came up with the stalks. We have again spent a few quality hours this summer “rooting out” these plants, and we are diminishing their hold on our local landscape!
With this wonderful rain, we are in an excellent position to keep up efforts in gaining ground in clearing out these invaders — roots and all! Cheers.
