Letter: The wrong move

I was delighted to hear that our mayor turned down the opportunity for a boondoggle in Paris at the climate-change circle you-know-what. That would have cost the city several thousand dollars that now can be used instead to weatherproof some public buildings, increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprint. Or to fund some local charities that benefit the needy in the holiday season. So hats off to the mayor — what? He went? Never mind.
