Letter: The valley’s disappearing uniqueness

Let me see here. The “visioneers” of Basalt want Basalt to be like nothing else in the Roaring Fork Valley. One of the most unique experiences in the valley is Butch’s Lobster Shack. A group called the Basalt Business Association has jacked up the rent, so Butch is about to take his show somewhere else. As soon as I find out where that somewhere else is, I’ll be there — along with hundreds of other folks seeking that elusive and disappearing unique valley experience.

Yo, Basalt Business Association, one should never look a gift horse in the mouth — or, in this case, a gift lobster.
