Letter: The financial truth of Aspen Valley Hospital

There have been allegations that the decision to contract with Surgical Specialists of Colorado for surgery services at Aspen Valley Hospital was driven by finances. The truth is that finances were neither the driver nor the end point for this decision. Undeniably, the driver was a desire to provide the highest possible quality of care to our community.

However, as the chief financial officer at the hospital, it was incumbent upon me to analyze the financial implications of the contract. Based on everything we know at this time, estimates indicate that the new contract with Surgical Specialists of Colorado will cost approximately the same amount as the former exclusive contract with Dr. Bill Rodman. We expect that there will be neither a gain nor a loss with the new arrangement.

I felt that any erroneous assumptions should be clarified.

Terry Collins, CFO

Grateful for Boebert

All the liberal letters denigrating Lauren Boebert’s Second Amendment support are mere extensions of Trump Detangement Syndrome. Gun-haters believe limiting law-abiding citizens’ gun rights will decrease crime.
