Letter: The butt of the joke

The butt of the joke

I want to apologize for my previous letter (“Let the games begin,” April 8, The Aspen Times). Lo Semple, himself, admitted to me that more than a couple people mistook him for a female groupie one afternoon he was struggling to keep up with Klaus Obermeyer on the mountain. I didn’t want anyone else to feel defective for making the same mistake, on or off the hill.

I should not have dragged Tony Vagneur’s innocent words about fanny leering at lift 1A into the discussion to make my point.
