Letter: Thanks for Celebrity Spelldown success

On behalf of the Aspen Youth Center board of directors, I would like to thank everyone who helped to make the third annual Spell What?! Celebrity Spelldown in support of Aspen Youth Center such a huge success!

Every member of the sold-out crowd had a great time cheering (and cheating) for their favorite contestants as they vied for spelling supremacy. Congratulations to our new Spell What?! champion, Robin Smith!

By supporting Spell What?! this community is making a stand in support of the young people and their families who rely on Aspen Youth Center every day. When children and adolescents regularly participate in after-school and summer programs, like Aspen Youth Center, they are less likely to be injured by accidents, less likely to be involved in bullying and less likely to experiment with alcohol and drugs.

We deeply appreciate the support!

Keith Berglund

Executive director, Aspen Youth Center
