Letter: Thanks for a great Bash
The Buddy Program would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank-you to all of those who contributed to the success of the Bash for the Buddies. More than 550 guests attended one of the largest fundraisers in the valley to support the Buddy Program and the 1,098 youth and families that we serve throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. The event was a great success, and a good time was had by all.
The most exciting part of this year’s Rebel With a Cause Bash was having Lenny “Boogie” Weinglass return as the host of the party at his stunning home — the Merry-Go-Ranch in Aspen. Boogie’s generosity truly knows no bounds!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors: Boogie’s, Burberry, Children’s Hospital Colorado, the Little Nell, Alpine Bank, Meridian Jewelers, First Bank, Aspen magazine, The Aspen Times, Aspen 82, Premier Party Rentals, Southern Wine & Spirits and Sentient Jet.
Our gratitude goes to all of the restaurants that featured some of their delicious signature dishes: BB’s Kitchen, Brunelleschi’s, Cache Cache, Conundrum Catering, Grey Lady, Heather’s Savory Pies, Hickory House, Justice Snow’s, L’Hostaria, Maru Aspen, Milagro Tequila, White House Tavern and Whole Foods.
Thank you also to our major live- and silent-auction donors — Auberge Resorts, Cache Cache, Calistoga Ranch, Charles Cunniffe Architects, Dennis Basso, Deborah Daine Design, Food & Wine magazine, Galerie Maximillian, Hansen Construction, painter Janet Roberts, Remede Spa, Rescue Lounge and Rudd Oakville Estates — and a big thank-you to Simon Chen and Pete Hayda at the Little Nell. Also, a big thank-you to the firms that designed and built those fabulous doghouses: David Johnston Architects, G.M. Johnson Construction, Harry Teague Architects, Thunderbowl Architects, Kaegebein Fine Homebuilding, Poss Architecture and Planning, and Structural Associates.
Thank you to our Bash partners: Chelsea Dillon and Kate Ryan of Gold Leaf Event Design and Production, Steve McKenney and Henrietta Oliver of European Caterers, John Czechowicz and everyone at Alchemy Audio/Visual, Premier Party Rentals, our fantastic silent-auction coordinator Trish Shepard, our auctioneer Vince Lahey, Russell Cattaneo at the Rock & Roll Academy, Southern Wine and Spirits of Colorado, and volunteer coordinators Joey Woltemath and Caitlin Cunningham. And huge thanks to Casey, the grounds manager at Boogie’s Merry-Go-Ranch, for helping to make everything run smoothly.
We gratefully acknowledge our board of directors and President Adam Goldsmith; our Bash Committee, chaired by Angie Stewart; our Auction Committee, led by Gina Betts; our Leadership Development Board and Junior Council, led by Jim Palardy; our very generous National Council Donors, led by Angie and Gary Stewart and Flo Fulton-Miller and Scott Miller; and of course the fearless chairman of our board, Lenny “Boogie” Weinglass, whose desire for making our community a better place is an inspiration to us all.
We couldn’t provide critical services to our local youth without our community’s support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We will see you back at Boogie’s at the Bash in 2016!
Executive director, the Buddy Program
