Letter: Thanks, Buddies

Thanks, Buddies

On June 23, more than 100 Little Buddies, Big Buddies and some of their family members attended the Buddy Program’s Annual Picnic at Arbaney Park in Basalt to celebrate summer and their wonderful relationships.

We had wonderful entertainment and activities with juggling phenomenon Jammin’ Jim as well as world-record-holder hula hooper Betty Hoops (aka Betty Shurin), games and, of course, lots of delicious food.

A big thank-you to Megan Rainnie and Food & Wine for donating food for our event.

Also, a big shout-out to all of those Buddies and family members who brought some of their favorite dishes to share with everybody.

Our annual Buddy and Family Picnic is quickly becoming one of our favorite events of the year and it is such a testament to the profound impact that mentors have on the lives of youth.

We invite community members to consider volunteering for the Buddy Program by going to our website, http://www.buddyprogram.org, or by calling us at 970-920-2130 or 970-927-1001.
