Letter: Tennis rackets needed

As summer slowly leaves us and we prepare for fall and winter, I would like to ask tennis players to go through their equipment and see if there is a racquet or two that they no longer use. I am collecting racquets to re-use for youth who have no racquets but may want to participate in the tennis programs offered through the Crown Mountain and Basalt recreation departments. It is my goal that no child or teen be turned away because they don’t have a tennis racquet.

Racquets can be turned in at Basalt Town Hall, and I will collect them from there to restring and regrip if needed. Thank you for answering the call for racquets, for everyone.
