Letter: Surprise cameo

Our daughter was married June 25 in an outdoor ceremony at the Snowmass Cottages. The wedding site was idyllic, looking upstream from a beautiful bend in the Roaring Fork. Just as the vows were underway, a full raft appeared and quickly approached, creating an unexpected distraction. As it rounded the bend and our group came within earshot, someone from the raft shouted, “Have a wonderful life!” to laughter and applause.

Realizing we were at the mercy of the rafters’ judgment and sense of humor, we want to thank you, whoever you are, for your positive contribution. Your cameo has become a special part of the memory.
