Letter: Speak up about housing issues

Are you younger than 40 and having a hard time with housing in the Aspen area? Or did you just give up? Maybe you have a great success story and love where you live. If you fit any of the above or just have input on housing — both free-market or through the Aspen/Pitkin County or Snowmass Village housing authorities — we want to hear from you.

The Aspen Next Generation Advisory Commission is hosting a series of public-input meetings to gain feedback from our demographic (18 to 40 years old) to advise the housing office and city officials on potential policy issues. Please join us. These sessions will be limited to one hour, and we’ll use clicker-polling to gain instant, anonymous results. All participants will be entered to win Aspen Brewing Co. beer. Please sign up for one of four sessions in the Sister Cities Room in Aspen City Hall: today from noon to 1 p.m. or from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., or Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. RSVP to aspennextgen@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance.

Christine Benedetti, Kimbo Brown-Schirato, Lindsey Palardy, Skippy Mesirow and Duncan Clauss

Kimbo for Aspen City Council

Vote for Kimbo Brown-Schirato for council. She’s the right choice at the right time for Aspen. She listens, works extremely well with others, and she’s effective.
