Letter: Sign up for Boogie’s Buddy Race

Sign up for Boogie’s Buddy Race

The Fourth of July is coming up fast, and that means it’s time for Boogie’s Buddy Race. What better way to kick off your holiday than participating in this Aspen tradition of over 35 years? Get out and work off those calories that you will consume later in the day by registering at http://www.buddyprogram.org or in front of Boogie’s Diner now for either the 5-Mile Race or the 1-Mile Family and Canine Walk. Immediately after the race, stick around for the old-fashioned parade down Main Street and then head over to the tent for the free Aspen Musical Festival and School concert that afternoon. It’s a great start to your day and, more important, a great way to support the Buddy Program, a local youth agency serving nearly 1,000 youth and their families annually each year from Aspen to Carbondale and beyond. We couldn’t do what we do without your support. And if you are going to be in town on July 10th, be sure to get your tickets for “A Honkytonkin’ Bash for the Buddies!” at http://www.buddyprogram.org. Tables and individual tickets are still available.

Thank you for your support!

David Houggy

Executive director, The Buddy Program
