Letter: Science Sundays at Jimmy’s
Science Sundays at Jimmy’s
If you weren’t able to attend Science Sunday at Jimmy’s last week, I encourage you to take advantage of the upcoming sessions on May 18. Although geared towards kids, these are fun, hands-on science-exploration opportunities for youth and adults alike. The events are free, although there is a suggested donation at the door to cover the cost of the simple lunch that is provided and help raise money for the important work that the Aspen Science Center is doing.
You will learn new things and help inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and mathematicians. Last week I learned that Diet Coke floats and regular Coke sinks due to the weight of the sugar in the regular Coke — you never know what you will learn! Have you ever seen magnetic putty? Bring the family and the neighbors and join us on Sunday for robotics, electronics and magnetism.
The Aspen Science Center is grateful to Jimmy’s for their support of these free events. For more information about the ASC, go to http://www.aspensciencecenter.com
