Letter: Schultz too good to lose

Schultz too good to lose

Dear Editor:

We are writing to express our extreme disappointment that we may be losing Dr. John Schultz as a surgeon in our community. Over the past years we have had several procedures (including that over-50 thing we’re all supposed to have!) performed by Dr. Schultz and he has always been professional, effective, reassuring and painless. He has also been available for questions and follow-up and has fit us into his busy schedule when needed. Most important of all, we have always felt secure in his care.

We find it difficult to understand why a hospital our size, so recently expanded and modernized, is only going to have one general surgeon.

We think it would be doing our community a great service if Dr. Schultz could be reinstated at Aspen Valley Hospital. We invite any other supporters of Dr. Schultz to weigh in with the hospital administration or write a letter to the editor to help insure that we continue to receive the great care we receive in this valley.

Cathy O’Connell and Fred Venrick
