Letter: Scheming developers

The people who approved that horrible, ugly shed going up on Two Rivers Road in Basalt have amply demonstrated that they can’t be trusted with the future of Basalt. Oversized and out of place. Perhaps they could be placed in public stocks along with the Rocky Mountain Institute people and the so-called architect and have rotten fruit thrown at them.

When did it become the mission of local governments, including Aspen, to guarantee obscene profits to the latest bunch of carpetbaggers to turn up in the valley with a get-rich-quick scheme?
