Letter: Rupert for Roaring Fork School District

This letter is to encourage our community members to vote for Jen Rupert for Roaring Fork School District A board seat and vote “yes” to Bond issue 3B through mail-in ballots due Tuesday.

I do not have children of my own, but I know how vital it is to the future of our community to support the teachers in our valley. By voting “yes” to bond issue 3B you will directly assist them in their most important and challenging job of educating the youth. They deserve to have affordable housing, improved classroom facilities and raises.

Jen Rupert is a 4th degree, master-level instructor in the traditional martial art of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. I trained along with her for the 14 years it took to achieve her rank. Her consistent efforts, sacrifice of convenience, a humble willingness to learn along with developing her communication skills have prepared her for opportunities such as this. Jen consistently inspires and encourages positive change with discipline and respect.

We also both work for Aspen Skiing Co. I am proud to say in her 18 years of employment, I have watched her grow from a inexperienced, young ski pro to a well-trained team member, an adult supervisor and an inspirational speaker. Jen Rupert possesses tremendous supportive energy and perseverance in her endeavors and will rise to the challenges that a seat on the school board will provide.
