Letter: Rocky road ahead

After cruising by the new pile of rocks recently placed in the middle of North Mill Street, I’ve got a few questions and comments.

First, what bureaucrat came up with this idiotic solution for traffic control? Does he or she not realize the potential issues presented to the unsuspecting cyclist, skateboarder or rollerblader?

Let us hope that when the inevitable accident does occur, this unfortunate soul at least has a helmet on. And don’t get me started on how unpleasant and intimidating the pile of rocks is.

It should be interesting to see what happens this winter when a snowplow sends one of the mini boulders through a Range Rover’s front windshield. Can’t wait for the lawsuits.

It seems to me that there could be a more aesthetic and safer answer than the one currently in use.
