Letter: Republicans say thanks

The Pitkin County Republicans want to thank the judges at the Fourth of July Parade in Aspen for awarding our float, “Republicans Rock,” the top prize in the “Best Music” category. It was a real thrill for us. Special acknowledgment to the members of the local teenage band Patriot for their great work: Ben Belinski on keyboard, Shaw Hughes on guitar and Lyon Hamill on drums and all of these wonderful musicians on vocals, and to Lee Sullivan for his help in setting up.

Hope everyone in the community had a fun Fourth of July.
