Letter: Remembering Ray

Remembering Ray

Dear Editor:

The Ray Vincent Adams family wishes to thank all of the wonderful people residing in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond who have contributed to the Ray Adams Benefit Fund and who participated in the April 26 and 27 benefit concerts. You are wonderful!

Your generosity has softened our hearts and has provided a pathway to healing for us. The road is long and the going is tough — sometimes overwhelming — but knowing you share sentiments with us is comforting, to say the least.

We are proud that our beloved made as much of an impact on your lives as he did on ours. We remember a son, a brother, a dad. You remember a conductor, composer and a friend.

Aren’t we all the better for it!

May you all be richly blessed for your humanity. See you June 1.

Hazel Adams Hailstone (Ray’s mother)

Murrieta, Calif.
