Letter: Put a community center in the Armory
Why would anyone vote against the community-center Armory? What possible reason could there be for enshrining a monumentally bad idea in an even more expensive and inefficient form? What possible reason could there be for voting in more construction? Spending more of our money over more time for a worse result? Less community inside the town limits? I’m all for doing more for less and recycling, but folks, the Armory City Hall ain’t it. It’s the exact opposite.
I’m with Tony Vagneur and Roger Marolt all the way on this one — even if you’re not old enough to remember roller skating there, vote for the best idea I’ve seen for this town since the pedestrian mall. The Armory as a community center. Period.
