Letter: Pro Challenge, Aspen a perfect fit

Dear Mayor Skadron and Aspen City Council members,

Ride on. That’s what I say about the USA Pro Challenge race. This is hard to say, but many residents, of what I believe is the greatest four-­season resort in the world, could learn a lot from places like little old Breckenridge.

They enjoy a good thing when they have it and appreciate a good thing when they are fortunate enough to be involved.

For those who complain, I would simply like to remind you that Aspen and Snowmass are resort communities. The attraction to such resorts by the traveling public is based on the vibrancy, vitality, activities and memories such resort areas can produce. It’s not about whether our valued guests can overpay for, say, sunglasses at The Optical Shop of Aspen.

I want to recognize all of the local folks and companies that saddled up to make sure the race happened. Again. Please come back, USA Pro Challenge. Aspen wants you.
