Letter: Plan carefully, Aspen

We have regulations and zoning codes that were developed with much debate and public input. They are to protect our residents personal investments (homes and business buildings), our civic character — which is our economic base — and our name.

Why should personal desires be allowed to override our laws, civic character and goals? Great cities are the result of careful planning; others are the result of haste and greed.
