Letter: Peace isn’t a U.S. strong point

Maurice Emmer has his Bush/Cheney blinders on. In his last letter to the editor (“Playing to the enemy’s hand,” Aug. 1, The Aspen Times), he is bringing up peaceful nations. Which nations is he talking about? Maybe Norway or Sweden? The U.S. is a really great and one-of-a-kind country but hardly peaceful. Even with Barack Obama at the wheel, we are still at war because of the last mishap in the Middle East.

The Middle Eastern countries (damn near all of them) need to get their act together. So does the United States. We are adding to the crap stew over there most of the time, not subtracting from it.
