Letter: Palestine’s never-ending push
Palestine’s never-ending push
In her frequent letters to the editor, Cathleen Krahe continuously claims that Jews and Israel are at fault for Palestinian woes. It seems she’s deploying Nazi propagandist Joseph Gobbles’ teaching, if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
In fact, the conflict in Israel is a microcosm of a greater problem on display throughout the region-adherents of extremist Islam (Hamas, ISIS, Taliban, al Qaeda) wanting a Jewish- and Christian-free Middle East, and they’re playing the long game despite the short-term suffering of their people.
Not accepting any of the Israeli offers of land for peace keeps this conflict alive. Every new terrorist assault on Israel generates powerful weapons in the campaign to discredit and delegitimize the Jewish state.
The Palestinians have been offered by Israel upwards of 97 percent of Judea, Samaria and Gaza (Samaria was the capitol of the ancient Kingdom of Israel) on four separate occasions and the Palestinians answered with intifadas, Jihad, and suicide bombers.
In 1947, the Arabs were offered what would have been their state next to tiny Israel, but instead they attacked with seven Arab armies to rid the Jews and take it all!
There is only one Jewish nation — Israel —with the Jewish people having continuous history for almost 4,000 years. The region was renamed Palestine by the Romans to offend the Jewish inhabitants with whom they were warring, but only after half of Jewish history had happened there, and centuries before the prophet Mohammed was born.
Though the combined territories of Arab countries is 650 times greater than Israel, they are still trying to push all the Jews into the sea — as they promised in 1948.
