Letter: On the passing of Howard Awrey

On the passing of Howard Awrey

It’s an old story. One summer night Howard had a heart attack in the kitchen. The dishwasher dragged him by the ankles out of the way. Howard recovered. The dishwasher got a raise.

When Howard got out of the hospital, Granny Awrey, visiting from Canada, said, “So, the good Lord didn’t want you, eh!”

Some 50 years on, the good Lord calls Howard Barlow Awrey.

Goodspeed, Howard!
