Letter: Not even art
I don’t understand why we the taxpayers of Aspen need to give “direct support” to Heidi Zukerman’s Aspen Art Museum to the tune of $35,000. The “art” in that museum is nothing but high-priced modern junk, not even fit to be called art. Why doesn’t Zukerman pay the $35,000 out of her million-dollar-per-year salary, not out of my $29,000-per-year income for actual work? Norbert Anthes was correct in saying, “Less arts, more parts,” when they wanted to close Cap’s Auto for an art museum.
