Letter: Nonprofit in need of assistance

The nonprofit Basalt Thrift Store is reaching out to the community for a moving/box-truck donation. Their current truck is unsafe to drive. Basalt Thrift keeps a half a million pounds of usable items out of our local landfills each year, and the truck is used daily to pick up and transport goods all over the Roaring Fork Valley. Basalt Thrift bales clothes, pairs shoes, works with local schools and ships goods all over the world for continued use. Your truck donation is tax deductible and will be used for valley recycling and local sustainable efforts. For more info call 970-927-6488.
