Letter: Nobody wins
The tragic death of a young college girl and an 89-year-old incompetent driver — what a horrible position Judge Erin Fernandez-Ely is in. The judge’s brilliance, sensitivity, thoughtful attention to this case and teary-eyed statements move me and are to be commended.
I question anyone’s mental stability who doesn’t see these qualities as a gift. We are so lucky to have Fernandez-Ely presiding in Aspen.
There will be no winners in this case.
