Letter: No more overnight donations

To generous donors of the Thrift Shop of Aspen,

Please be aware that in the near future there will be a fence in our alley to help us manage after-hours donations. Unfortunately, there have been increased theft and negative activity on Thrift Shop property during the night and early morning. For the safety and respect of alley neighbors, it will no longer be possible to leave donations between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. We are happy to accept donations in good condition during business hours, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We do not accept electronics, analog TVs, large furniture or mattresses. All Pitkin County residents may use their $100 credit at the landfill for those items we are unable to recycle or sell.

Thanks to all for continued support.
