News tip

Dear Editor:

For those who don’t read the digital Aspen Times there is now a requirement to answer survey questions from Google in order to read past the first sentence — unless you access the aspentimes.com site through Safari. Then you get to read the whole article without answering a survey.

The Times just might have to go to a full on subscription site to pay for the new digs. (Please, don’t make the same mistake as the New York Times and do include the crossword in the subscription.)

Or, you could be journalists and offer the news and opinion to the broadest public in the easiest way possible for free and make ad$ off of everything else.

May I recommend Chris Anderson’s excellent book “Free”?
