Letter: Make a difference on climate change
If you feel like there is little hope to stop climate change, you need to learn about the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. It’s a positive, nonpartisan, citizen-based organization that is promoting a relatively simple way to solve climate change. The lobby is proposing a carbon fee and dividend that would reduce carbon through consumer pressure for low-carbon goods and services. There is already a Citizens Climate Lobby chapter in Carbondale, and a new chapter is starting up in Aspen.
Anyone can come to Aspen’s first meeting, scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, to learn more about how people from around the nation (and now including Aspen) can make a huge difference.
