Letter: It takes a community

On March 8, almost 50 Big and Little Buddies took to skiing and snowboarding on Buttermilk thanks to the very generous support from Aspen Skiing Co., Four Mountain Sports and Bumps Restaurant. Buddy pairs enjoyed free lift tickets, equipment and a delicious lunch at Bumps. One Little Buddy who had never snowboarded before also received a free lesson thanks to the generosity of Bryan Matthies.

Big Buddies kept up with their Little Buddies in the terrain parks, through tree trails and while cruising the groomers on such a beautiful, warm and blue-sky day.

In addition to our annual Ski and Snowboard Day, The Buddy Program offers more than 20 activities throughout the year for Buddy pairs in the community program to engage in educational, environmental, creative and outreach aspects of the community, and we certainly couldn’t do this without the generous support of partners such as Aspen Skiing Co. Thank you.

Finally, the Buddy Program would like to extend a big, heartfelt thank-you to all our wonderful Big Buddies for empowering their Little Buddies through positive and unforgettable mentoring experiences.
