Letter: Idle thoughts

An article in The Aspen Times on July 12 concerned the drive-thrus at the Wells Fargo bank (“Moratorium prompts Wells Fargo drive-thru to check out”). It seems the city doesn’t want drive-thrus because a few cars sit idling for five minutes or so. I suppose that’s a reasonable concern.

On the other hand, the city doesn’t appear to be doing anything about the hundreds of cars that sit basically idling for over a half hour every day in the absurd traffic jams into and out of town. Don’t you think it’s time for action?
