Tony Vagneur’s column titled “Six degrees of separation” (Commentary, The Aspen Times, Dec. 5) is a wonderful distillation of prodigious research by him with lots of backup by the staff of the Aspen Historical Society. Tony’s tenure as head of the Historical Society was terrific preparation for tracing midvalley place names to the original settlers.
