Letter: Hillary didn’t, either

Hillary didn’t, either

To respond to Glenn Beaton’s essay “Hillary’s missing organ in the March 29 Aspen Times:

Mary Ellmann (1921-1989 — see Wikipedia) was a literary essayist who was assigned to review Norman Mailer’s “Prisoner of Sex” (1971) in the New York Review of Books. Mailer was the literary lion of the time. Ellmann’s comment on Mailer’s attribution of “penis envy” to strong women was this: “Penis envy? I never wanted one.”
