Letter: Helping nonprofits

Every month, volunteers of the Thrift Shop of Aspen meet to continue to accomplish our mission: to make grants to other nonprofit organizations in the Roaring Fork Valley. We are grateful to all the community members who continue to support our efforts by donating and purchasing gently used clothing and household items. For the month of May, we are pleased to announce the following recipients: the Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities, English in Action, Pathfinders, Summit 54, Access After School, Aspen Elementary School, the Newberry Book Club, the Aspen Fringe Festival, Summer Garden Boot Camps, Aspen Poets Ink, Dance Initiative, and Aspen Sister Cities.

Support Local Journalism

Readers around Aspen and Snowmass Village make the Aspen Times’ work possible. Your financial contribution supports our efforts to deliver quality, locally relevant journalism.

Now more than ever, your support is critical to help us keep our community informed about the evolving coronavirus pandemic and the impact it is having locally. Every contribution, however large or small, will make a difference.

Each donation will be used exclusively for the development and creation of increased news coverage.
