Letter: Help for Nepal
Aspen High School’s Support for Nepal Club would like to thank all the community members who came to our first event Dec. 3 at the Highlands Ale House and those who donated silent-auction items. We raised just over $3,000 to help rebuild a school in Nepal. We also would like to thank Kevin, Clayton, Antoine and Miguel at Highlands Ale House for their generosity and effort. We couldn’t have done it without chef Nabin Sherpa donating his time to create delicious Nepali fare and John Wilcox of Pine Creek Cookhouse for donating the food. Together, our small, mountain community and school are helping kids from small, mountain villages in Nepal go to school in earthquake-safe buildings. If you missed the event and would like to support our effort, visit http://marshyangdischool.org.
Namaste.
