Letter: Great job maintaining the pass

I would like to say “thank you” to Mark Fuller for his efforts in maintaining and improving the fantastic mountain pass that is Independence Pass. I can only imagine how much work he has put into organizing volunteers, applying for grants, fundraising and all the other aspects of such a tumultuous endeavor. Independence Pass is many things: a summer shortcut to Denver for Aspenites, the highest paved pass in the state, a majestic scenic drive for our visitors, a spring backcountry access route and one hell of a fantastic motorcycle ride! I don’t see therapists — I put gas in the KLR and rip to the top and back for a better perspective on life.

Thanks again for all your hard work for the past two decades! Awesome job; very well-done.

John Norman
