Letter: Giving to the Aspen Homeless Shelter

Thank you for the article about the Aspen Homeless Shelter in The Aspen Times on May 22 by Karl Herchenroeder. It was well-written and very helpful!

There was one very important piece that was left out however — how to donate.

The Aspen Homeless Shelter has two ways to donate to ensure that it can keep its doors open and continue to assist in the transition of displaced community members.

First, the Aspen Homeless Shelter has a website where donations can be made online. That website is http://www.aspensafetynet.org.

The website also has a great deal more information about our mission and the people we serve.

Second, checks can be given directly to the Aspen Homeless Shelter.

Please make checks payable to:

Aspen Homeless Shelter

405 Castle Creek Road, No. 16

Aspen, CO 81611

Feel free to call with any questions at 970-544-5545.

Thank you in advance for anything you can spare to ensure the shelter is able to continue its services to Aspen’s forgotten residents.

Kimbo for Aspen City Council

Vote for Kimbo Brown-Schirato for council. She’s the right choice at the right time for Aspen. She listens, works extremely well with others, and she’s effective.
